Job description •

Perform maintenance of aircraft, aircraft components and engines in accordance with the respective maintenance manuals, ensuring the quality of workmanship is to a required standard. • Ensure all parts, materials and components are accompanied by the correct release documents / certificates of conformance prior to fitment to an aircraft or aircraft component. • Identify and tag any removed parts and route to the correct designated area in accordance with company procedure. • Notify any spare parts requirements for work in progress to the Maintenance Manager in a timely manner. • Complete and sign/stamp all work cards/sheets for performed tasks ensuring that all relevant details including materials and components used, and respective batch / part / serial numbers are recorded. • Check the completed work pack for accuracy and completeness before certifying any work done in accordance with the limitations of the company authorisation held. • Record / clock time spent on performed tasks. • Comply with health and safety requirements and report any hazards and / or deficiencies in hangar, tooling and ground handling equipment to the Maintenance Manager. • Maintain good maintenance practices in all work carried out including maintenance of toolboxes and tool accountability. • Supervise of any additional staff allocated for a particular job by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements:

Degree in Aerospace Engineering

Good verbal and written English (minimum level B2)

The candidate must possess an EASA Part 66 B1.2 or B3 aircraft maintenance licence, preferably with Full Group 3 endorsement; • Experience on Cessna and Tecnam aircraft, as well as Lycoming and Rotax engines, will be given preference; • Candidates who also hold an EASA Part 66 B2 aircraft maintenance licence will be favourably considered for this post; • Good verbal and written English; • Good computer literacy; • Must be able to work effectively in a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision

Contract & Salary

Permanent position, full time . Salary between Euro 1,800 and Euro 2,400 gross per month. Negotiable according to qualifications and experience. Training, relevant to the position, will be provided. No assistance provided for accommodation/relocation.

HEAD OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING GROUP

The ILL is a fundamental research institute located in Grenoble, France; it was founded by France, Germany and the United Kingdom. It is Europe's leading centre for research using neutrons and operates the brightest neutron source in the world. The ILL's Health Physics, Safety and Environment Service (SRSE) is part of the Director's Services and is currently looking for a: Head of the Environmental Monitoring Group

 

Duties:
The successful candidate will manage the Environmental monitoring group, composed of the Head of group and six technicians responsible for the environmental monitoring activities of the ILL.
You will report to the Head of the Health Physics, Safety, and Environment Service and be responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring smooth laboratory operations:

  • Maintaining and operating the ILL facilities and equipment required for environmental monitoring at the ILL and in the Grenoble area (laboratory, monitoring stations, radioactive emission control unit)

  • Ensuring the supplies (consumables and other products) for running the laboratory

  • Hire, manage and monitor suppliers and sub-contractors

  • Guaranteeing, within the deadlines, the quality of the analyses and results produced, in compliance with the health physics, safety and quality standards applicable for French nuclear installations (INBs)

    • Obtaining and maintaining the approvals necessary for the different measurements

    • Producing the statutory records and reports

  • Monitoring developments in standards and regulations and adapting the Group's operations as necessary

  • Assisting in quality management:

  • Ensure that the Integrated Quality Management System used in the laboratory and INB is complied with, applied and developed

  • Play a part in the continuous improvement of the Group and the Service

  • Providing liaison with stakeholders in this area, both inside and outside the ILL

  • Managing the team:

    • Supervise, organise, motivate (on-call duties, annual interviews, etc.)

    • Recruit lab staff and monitor available skills

    • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for staff by ensuring that the environment, health and safety procedures are respected.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Master's level degree in the metrology field, ideally in radioactivity measurement or similar

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar post, with team management

  • Excellent French writing skills

  • Familiarity with the NF EN ISO/CEI 17025:2017 standard for nuclear installations and/or radioactivity would be an advantage

  • You must be independent, methodical, and meticulous in your work, with teamwork skills

Language skills:

La "Division Réacteur", dont la mission est de produire les neutrons alimentant les dispositifs expérimentaux, est chargée de faire fonctionner l'ensemble des installations techniques spécifiques au réacteur. Elle recherche un·e : Technicien·ne Supérieur·e Maintenance Mécanique

 

Fonctions :
Au sein du groupe Fluides, responsable de la maintenance des circuits réacteurs et des équipements mécaniques associés, des analyses chimiques liées à l’exploitation du réacteur nucléaire et de la gestion des travaux de soudure, vous travaillerez en collaboration directe avec un autre technicien et serez en charge d’installations techniques (hydrauliques, aérauliques, gaz, …).
En relation avec votre chef de groupe, vos missions consisteront à :

  • Exploiter, maintenir et dépanner ces installations techniques,

  • Réaliser les essais périodiques réglementaires,

  • Réaliser le suivi des Equipements Sous Pression (visite et épreuve),

  • Assurer le suivi des interventions sous-traitées,

  • Etudier et réaliser des modifications et améliorations des installations,

  • Rédiger des procédures, spécifications techniques, comptes rendus, PID, rapports, … suivant le Système de Management Intégré interne à l’ILL,

  • Fournir une assistance technique occasionnelle aux autres membres du groupe.

 
Formation / Expérience :

  • Bac +2 ou +3 (BTS, DUT, licence ou équivalent) en génie mécanique ou thermique ou maintenance, complété d’une expérience professionnelle d’au moins 5 ans en maintenance sur des installations frigorifiques ou des équipements de conditionnement d'air et de climatisation,

  • Capacité à réaliser des calculs simples de mécanique des fluides (perte de charge, bilan thermique, point de fonctionnement, …),

  • Expérience de travail sous assurance de la qualité,

  • Bonnes capacités d’analyse et rédactionnelles (procédures, spécifications techniques,…).

 
Connaissances linguistiques :

SCIENTIFIC DATA MANAGEMENT PROJECT COORDINATOR

The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), situated in Grenoble, France, and founded by France, Germany and the United Kingdom, is Europe's leading research facility for fundamental research using neutrons. The ILL operates the brightest neutron source in the world, reliably delivering intense neutron beams to 40 unique scientific instruments. The Institute welcomes over 2000 visits of scientists per year to carry out world-class research in solid-state physics, crystallography, soft matter, biology, chemistry and fundamental physics. The "Projects and Techniques Division”, which is responsible for the development of the ILL’s instruments and for technical support; it currently has a vacancy in its IT service for a: Scientific Data Management Project Coordinator

You will be part of the European project PaNOSC (the Photon and Neutron Open Science Cloud). This project brings together six major world-class European research infrastructures to create a fully integrated, pan-European information and analysis infrastructure supporting the scientific process.
 

Duties:
The Scientific data management project coordinator will liaise directly with the Head of IT to handle the more strategic role related to the PaNOSC project.
Your main duties will be:

  • Represent the ILL in PaNOSC Work Package 2 (FAIR data policy and Data Management Plan) and Work Package 7 (sustainability of the services developed in the scope of PaNOSC, business model for open data and services).

  • Represent the ILL in the EOSCEnhance project dedicated to further develop the EOSC portal. Present the ILL need to the project and disseminate the outcome in the IT Service.

  • Organise interactions with the ILL scientists in order to present services, projects and ideas, collect users’ needs and feedback.

  • Prepare memos for the ILL management on the progress of EOSC-related projects.

  • Liaise with the ILL communication officers to ensure proper dissemination of the work achieved in the data management activities.

  • Organise the construction of future collaboration regarding data management with the ILL partners, the IT Service and the scientists with the support of the EU office.

 

Qualifications and experience:

  • PhD in one of the physical sciences (chemistry, physics, material science, earth science, etc) or Masters in computer science (or relevant subject), with significant experience working within a scientific community.

  • Strong interest in scientific data management and science-oriented IT solutions.

  • Previous experience of working in a neutron or photon science research center is an asset.

  • Ability to interact with multi-disciplinary staff at the ILL and to collaborate with other European partners.

  • Teamwork capability and good communication skills are essential.

 

Language skills:
As an international research centre, we are particularly keen to ensure that we also attract applicants from outside France. You must be proficient in English and be willing to learn French (a language course will be paid for by the ILL). Knowledge of German would be an advantage.
