The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), situated in Grenoble, France, is Europe's leading research facility for fundamental research using neutrons. The self-service workshop houses around fifteen conventional machines tools, which are made available to ILL technicians for operations such as machining, turning and milling.
 
Duties:

• Manage the workshop: maintenance of the machines, management of small tools and of the stocks of raw materials. 

• Assist and train the technicians who use the self-service workshop.

• Perform the machining of mechanical parts (turning and milling) for the requirements of the workshop or in-house customers.

 
Qualifications and experience:

• You have an NVQ level 2 or 3 in mechanical engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

• You have a significant amount of experience (at least 5 to 10 years) working as a multi-skilled machine tool technician/operator.

• You have a methodical and disciplined approach to your work and are able to ensure that users comply with workshop regulations and instructions.

• You have excellent interpersonal, teaching and listening skills to be able to assist and train the workshop users.

 
Language skills:

Duties:
As an active member of the ILL’s “Network and Data Services” group, your duties will involve support, maintenance and development activities in the following areas:

• The network (several hundred network devices, 150 Wi-Fi access points),

• The services maintained by the group (nfs, samba, dhcp, dns, firewall, email, LDAP directory, VPN, Radius, HPC, openstack, backup),

• The storage systems (~1PB).

 
The main systems used are based on the following: Extreme Network for the network, Debian GNU/Linux for the operating system, and GPFS, ZFS and CEPH for storage.
You will be expected to play a part in one or more of the strategic projects currently under way:

• Overhaul of network architecture throughout the site,

• Centralisation and automation of network device configuration,

• Centralisation and automation of server configuration,

• Replacement of primary storage infrastructure for user data.

 
Qualifications and experience:

Fonctions :

Au sein de la "Division Réacteur", le service Mécanique est chargé de la maintenance des équipements techniques du réacteur à Haut-flux. Rattaché·e au chef du service, vous serez chargé·e du suivi de la fabrication de plusieurs composants de rechange du bloc pile du RHF et vous participerez à la mise à jour des documents de suivi réglementaire des équipements sous pression nucléaires. Dans ce cadre, vous travaillerez sous la supervision d’un ingénieur expérimenté responsable des fabrications mécaniques et également référent ESPN.

 
Les principales missions seront les suivantes :

• Suivre la fabrication d’équipements suivant les exigences des ESPN ou de l’arrêté INB (fabrication d’équipements à qualité surveillée) :

  • Rédiger les spécifications de fabrication à l’aide de trames préexistantes,

  • Vérifier les plans des composants issus du bureau d'études,

  • Etablir les dossiers techniques des appels d'offre et sélectionner les fabricants,

  • Etablir le dossier de fabrication pour l’évaluation de conformité par l’organisme habilité (OH),

  • Suivre les étapes de la fabrication (approvisionnement, usinage, contrôle, validation, analyse d’écarts, etc.),

  • Valider la recette finale de l’équipement.

• Mettre à jour les dossiers réglementaires des équipements sous pression nucléaire liés au réacteur :

  • Reprendre et compléter la liste de tous les équipements ESPN de l’ILL,

  • Ré-évaluer les situations et charges de tous les équipements, établir les documents de synthèse pour le rapport de sureté et vérifier la cohérence des classements ESPN actuels.

La fonction implique une très bonne autonomie à court terme.

 
Formation / Expérience :

• Bac+5 (type diplôme d’ingénieur ou titre universitaire) en mécanique ou métallurgie, complété par une expérience professionnelle de 5 ans minimum,

• Connaissances en chaudronnerie et en soudage (MIG, TIG ou FE) si possible sur l'alliage d'aluminium AG3NET, Inox ou Zircaloy,

• Expérience de fabrications sous assurance de la qualité nucléaire,

• Connaissances de la réglementation ESPN et de codes de conception type RCC-MRx (ou RCC-M),

Duties:
Working within the Nuclear and Particle Physics (NPP) Group, you will be involved in bringing into operation and optimising the new Ultra Cold Neutron (UCN) source SuperSUN. When commissioning is completed, you will take on the duties of ‘Instrument Responsible’ for SuperSUN.
 
You will support the experimental programme pursued by users. In the coming years the PanEDM experiment, aiming at measuring the neutrons electric dipole moment, will be the flagship experiment using this source.
 
In addition, you will contribute to studying possibilities to further enhance the output of this high-density UCN source and build towards a user programme for a superthermal liquid helium UCN source.
 
Besides these activities linked directly to the instrument you are expected to pursue your own active research programme and establish scientific collaborations. Resources available in support of this activity include the PF2 high-flux UCN source, the superthermal UCN source prototype SUN2 and the cold neutron facility PF1b.
 
Qualifications and experience:

We are seeking applications from highly motivated candidates with strong organisational skills and a PhD, preferably in experimental nuclear or particle physics. Experience and a strong interest in the development of instrumentation is a prerequisite. A firm knowledge of low-energy particle physics and neutron optics would be an advantage. Applicants with experience in other fields, such as cryogenics or surface science, are also encouraged to apply. The post represents an excellent opportunity for postdoctoral scientists to develop expertise, broaden their experience and interact with leading scientists from around the world. Applications from more experienced scientists on secondment from their home institution will also be considered.

Duties:
You will join the group responsible for the maintenance of the instrumentation and control systems of the High-Flux Reactor, where your main duties will be to:

• provide preventive and corrective maintenance of the reactor control and emergency shutdown systems

• perform the periodic testing of the following measuring channels: thermodynamics, neutron flux, radiation protection and environmental monitoring

• design and implement modifications to instrumentation and control systems and measuring channels

• draft the specifications for the work to be performed, monitor subcontractors, prepare and conduct tests, and update documentation

Qualifications and experience:

• You have a Level 5 (HND, foundation degree or equivalent) or Level 6 (apprenticeship degree or equivalent) qualification in electrical/electronic engineering; you are interested in working in the nuclear sector as well as in Quality Assurance activities (IMS).

• You must be qualified to work on low-voltage electrical installations (‘Habilitation Électrique’ B2V BR as per NF C18-510).

• Réaliser les contrôles périodiques et les requalifications des installations du bloc pile,

• Concevoir avec le bureau d’études, des outillages adaptés pour réaliser la maintenance des équipements,

• Assurer le suivi de fabrication d’outillages pour le bloc pile sous assurance de la qualité,

• Gérer des chantiers depuis leur préparation jusqu'à la réalisation,

• Rédiger les procédures, spécifications techniques, comptes rendus et rapports, etc,

• Préparer des navettes contenant des isotopes pour la recherche médicale pour les irradier,

• Exploiter les dispositifs intégrés sur les lignes H6 et H9 (changeurs de sources),

• Fournir une assistance occasionnelle à l’exploitation des autres installations du groupe.

Formation / Expérience :

• BAC+2 ou 3 (type BTS, DUT, licence professionnelle ou équivalent) en génie mécanique ou maintenance industrielle avec une expérience de 5 ans minimum en maintenance industrielle,

• La pratique de la maintenance d’équipements mécaniques au sein d’installations nucléaires est un plus,

• Très bonnes capacités rédactionnelles (procédures, spécifications techniques, comptes rendus techniques),

• Personne de terrain avec une très bonne autonomie et de bonnes capacités d’analyse,

Fonctions :
Au sein de la Division Réacteur, sous l’autorité du Chef de Groupe Sécurité Accueil, vous contribuez à la sécurité des biens et des personnes. Membre de l’équipe Sécurité Accueil, vous participez à la surveillance des différentes zones de protection de l’ILL et vous travaillez en collaboration avec les agents de quart de la salle de contrôle.

• Votre mission principale est d’assurer des remplacements d’agents de sécurité en régime posté 2x12h. A ce titre vos missions sont notamment les suivantes :

  • Au sein du poste de Sécurité, assurer la surveillance du site via la vidéosurveillance et la remontée des alarmes.

  • Assurer les actions adéquates selon les situations rencontrées (alarmes déclenchées ou évènements sécuritaires).

  • Attribuer les autorisations d’accès.

  • Effectuer les contrôles d’accès d’entrées et sorties des différentes zones.

  • Exécuter des rondes de surveillance.

  • Procéder aux levées de doutes.

  • Faire partie de l'équipe de première intervention en cas d'alerte incendie.

  • Réaliser des interventions de secours à victime en cas de besoin.

  • Traiter et transmettre les informations liées à la sécurité du site, renseigner la main courante.

Par ailleurs, vous :

• Participez à la réalisation des essais confiés au groupe Sécurité Accueil ; ces essais concernent les systèmes de protection physique, de protection contre l’incendie et l’inondation.

• Rédigez ou mettez à jour la documentation demandée.

Formation / Expérience :

• Vous êtes titulaire d’un diplôme de niveau Baccalauréat ou équivalent,

• Vous possédez une expérience professionnelle dans les métiers de la sécurité ou de la lutte contre l’incendie.

• Vous êtes résistant au stress et vous restez maitre de vous en toute circonstance.

• Vous savez appliquer les procédures et les consignes appropriées, tout en sachant faire preuve d’initiative.
