INGÉNIEUR·E ÉTUDES DE SÛRETÉ CONFIRMÉ·E

L'Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), implanté à Grenoble et fondé par la France, l'Allemagne et le Royaume-Uni, est un centre international de recherche fondamentale. Leader européen en sciences neutroniques, l'ILL exploite la source de neutrons la plus intense au monde. La "Division Réacteur", dont la mission est de produire les neutrons alimentant les dispositifs expérimentaux, est chargée de faire fonctionner l'ensemble des installations techniques spécifiques au réacteur. Elle recherche un·e: Ingénieur·e Études de Sûreté confirmé·e

 

Fonctions :
En lien avec le Responsable de la Cellule Sûreté de la Division Réacteur, et en conformité avec la réglementation relative aux Installations Nucléaires de Base (INB), vos missions consisteront à:

  • Assurer le rôle d’ingénieur sûreté dans les projets de modification des installations existantes ou les projets de création de nouvelles installations (améliorations, engagements, réexamen de sûreté),

  • Rédiger et instruire des Fiches d’Evolution d’Installation,

  • Réaliser des analyses de risques et des études de Sûreté Nucléaire dans différents domaines (réactivité, confinement, manutention, contrôle-commande, incendie, explosion, séisme, inondation, etc.)

  • Réaliser des calculs ou spécifier des études à réaliser par d’autres entités (internes ou externes),

  • Rédiger des dossiers de demande d’autorisation conformes à la décision 2017-DC-0616 de l’ASN,

  • Assurer les réponses aux questions posées par l’ASN et l’IRSN dans l’instruction des dossiers,

  • Mettre à jour le référentiel de l’installation (Rapport de sûreté, RGE, PUI, etc.) et veiller au respect de ce référentiel par sa bonne déclinaison dans les documents opérationnels,

  • Assurer par intérim le rôle d’ingénieur sûreté d’exploitation (gestion des écarts, inspections, compte-rendu d’évènements significatifs).

Ces missions sont en interface avec les chefs de projets, les équipes d'exploitation, le bureau de coordination et d’assurance qualité (BCAQ), la cellule qualité sûreté risques (CQSR).  Après habilitation, vous intégrerez le cycle d’astreintes des ingénieurs de la division Réacteur.

Formation / Expérience :
Titulaire d'un Bac+5 (diplôme d'ingénieur ou équivalent), vous avez au moins 5 ans d'expérience professionnelle dans le domaine des études de sûreté nucléaire des installations type laboratoires, usines ou réacteurs.
Une aptitude à réaliser ou à piloter des études d’ingénieur dans des domaines tels que génie nucléaire, conséquences radiologiques, mécanique, thermo-hydraulique, neutronique, contrôle-commande, etc., serait un atout.
Les candidat(e)s devront avoir le goût des contacts humains, le sérieux, la rigueur, des qualités rédactionnelles, et la compétence pour mener ces missions importantes pour la sûreté et la disponibilité de nos installations.

Connaissances linguistiques :
Le caractère international de notre centre de recherche nous amène à accorder une attention particulière aux candidatures provenant également d'autres pays que la France. De bonnes connaissances en anglais et en français sont requises. Des connaissances en allemand seraient un atout.

Fonctions :
Au sein du groupe Fluides, responsable de l’exploitation et de la maintenance des circuits réacteurs et des équipements mécaniques associés, des analyses chimiques liées à l’exploitation du réacteur nucléaire et de la gestion des travaux de soudure, vous travaillez en collaboration directe avec un autre technicien. Vous êtes en charge des circuits de pompage, de refroidissement, des circuits eau déminéralisée des piscines composés de systèmes de filtration et d’épuration.
Les missions consisteront à :

  • Exploiter, maintenir et dépanner ces équipements ;

  • Suivre les interventions sous-traitées ;

  • Réaliser les essais périodiques réglementaires ;

  • Rédiger des procédures, spécifications techniques, compte rendu, PID, rapport etc. ;

  • Fournir une assistance occasionnelle à l’exploitation des autres installations du groupe.

 
Formation et expérience :

  • DUT/BTS génie mécanique thermique ou maintenance.

  • Une expérience en maintenance sur des circuits de pompage et une capacité à réaliser des calculs simples de mécanique des fluides sont souhaitées.

  • Expérience professionnelle dans un cadre réglementaire qualité,

  • Vous êtes capable de travailler seul·e ou en équipe, vous avez un sens du service développé et savez prendre des initiatives tout en respectant le cadre réglementaire.

  • Très bonnes capacités d’analyse et rédactionnelles (procédures, spécifications techniques, etc…)

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), situated in Grenoble, France, is Europe's leading research facility for fundamental research using neutrons. The ILL operates the brightest neutron source in the world, and welcomes over 2000 visits of scientists per year to carry out world-class research in a wide variety of scientific fields. Funded primarily by its three founder members: France, Germany and the United Kingdom, the ILL has also signed scientific collaboration agreements with 12 other countries. We currently have a vacancy: Assistant Project Manager

The ILL is member of the European Intergovernmental Research Organisation forum, EIROForum, which brings together eight of Europe’s largest research organisations. The ILL is also member of LENS, the League of advanced European Neutron Sources a not-for-profit consortium working to promote cooperation between European-level neutron infrastructure providers.  The ILL will chair EIROforum from July 2020 to June 2021 and LENS until September 2021 and is looking for an Assistant project manager to reinforce its management team during the presidencies. On behalf of the partnership, EIROforum and LENS entertain close links with the European Commission, the executive body of the European Union (EU). Underpinned by a Statement of Intent, the EIROforum cooperation is practical in nature, focussing on exchange of information and joint actions in areas such as mobility and human resources, public awareness of science and technology transfer. The LENS consortium places emphasis on the relationship between neutron user communities and funding organisations, continuous improvement of neutron source facilities, optimising resources between and aligning policies among partners – all to ensure excellence to the communities they serve.

Duties:
You will coordinate the projects for the ILL and provide administrative support for the management team with the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Taking on detailed project work (mostly related to EU policy) to help the management team to prepare meetings, reports and presentations

  • Planning and organising meetings and events (at the ILL and off site in contact with outside organisations)

  • Detailed minute-taking during conference calls and Face-to-Face meetings, drafting and formatting of documents in English

  • Occasionally travelling with the management team to provide general assistance and minute-taking during meetings
     

Qualifications and experience:

  • University diploma in political studies / European Governance or similar,

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position, beginners or reconversion welcome.

  • Excellent level of spoken and written English.

  • Capacity to take initiative and work autonomously being part of a team.

  • Sound organisational and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with the conventions for presentation and layout as well as the operation of video conference software.

  • You are able to prepare and produce documents quickly and have impeccable spelling.

  • You have a meticulous approach to your work and are able to show tact and diplomacy.

  • The main strengths you will bring to this position are responsiveness, flexibility and a problem-solving attitude.

Language skills:
As an international research centre, we are particularly keen to ensure that we also attract applicants from outside France. You must have a very good knowledge of English (preferential native speaker)  and be willing to learn French (a language course will be paid for by the ILL). Knowledge of German would be an advantage.

INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN

The ILL is a fundamental research institute founded and financed by France, Germany and the United Kingdom. It is Europe's leading centre for research using neutrons and operates the brightest neutron source in the world, reliably delivering intense neutron beams to 40 unique scientific instruments. The Institute receives over 2000 visits a year from scientists requiring its facilities to carry out world-class research in areas as varied as solid-state physics, crystallography, soft matter, biology, chemistry and fundamental physics. The Project and Techniques Division, which is responsible for the development of the ILL's scientific instruments and for technical support, currently has a vacancy in its Neutron Optics Service for an: Instrument Technician

Duties:
You will join the Monochromator Group, a five-person team responsible for the production of crystals for the Institute's neutron monochromators. 
You will be responsible for a neutron diffractometer devoted to the characterisation of single crystals.
Your main duties will include:
  • the preparation and characterisation of mosaic crystals for neutron monochromators;
  • ensuring the maintenance and proper working order of the diffractometer;
  • mounting and aligning crystals on the mechanical assemblies of the monochromators;
  • ensuring compliance with the safety regulations in force at the Institute.
You will also carry out the maintenance of the ILL's monochromators and assist in the projects to develop new optical devices for the neutron beams.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Level 4 qualification (NVQ, BTEC HND or equivalent) in applied physics or materials engineering.
  • You are particularly interested in the science of materials and the characterization of their properties.
  • You are able to work independently, with a methodical and meticulous approach to your work and a keen eye for detail.
  • Good teamwork skills are essential to be able to report on and share the results of your work.
  • You are able to use your ingenuity and creativity to satisfy unique and changing demands.
  • A basic knowledge of mechanical engineering (conventional machining) and proficiency in SolidWorks would also be an asset.
Language skills:

POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN SOFT CONDENSED MATTER THEORY

Duties:
Working within our theory group, your research program will be focused on soft condensed matter theory and modeling (including applications to soft materials and biophysics). Of particular interest are projects in the field of polymer, biopolymers or protein modeling, but proposals in all fields of soft matter will be considered.
The successful candidate is expected to carry out a research program in broad relation to the experimental activities at the institute.

Qualifications and experience:

  • PhD in physics, biophysics or physical chemistry.

  • Strong background in theoretical soft matter and associated simulation methods.

  • Knowledge of standard calculation methods (molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo).

  • Knowledge appreciated in some of the following fields = modern parallelisation and programming methods (open MP, MPI…).

Language skills:
As an international research centre, we are particularly keen to ensure that we also attract applicants from outside France. You must have a sound knowledge of English and be willing to learn French (a language course will be paid for by the ILL). Knowledge of German would be an advantage.

Notes:
Post-Doctoral contract of 18 months, renewable for a further 18-month period. Only candidates holding a PhD obtained less than 2 years ago are eligible for post-doctoral positions.
